Winter & Summer Concerts
Open to all Junior members on a first-come, first-served basis, the Volunteer Musicians for the Arts presents its annual Holiday Outreach Concert in the Boston, MA area as well as its June Summer Concert. Professional Adult Program members and Junior members come together, giving everyone orchestra seats. This is an example of a mentored concert. Included with membership; Leadership Initiative members prioritized.
Virtual Workshops
We train our most dedicated Juniors to be more than performers. Workshops are a safe space to share dreams, ideas, and interact with inspirational guest speakers. VMA mentors facilitate virtual workshops. Leadership Initiative High School Division.
Google Workspace
Members are given Google Nonprofit Workspace access for effective team communication, collaboration and to build confidence as a growing leader in the organization. Leadership Initiative High School Division.

Leadership Initiative
All Junior Program members can apply to the VMA’s Leadership Initiative. We're looking for Juniors who want to create meaningful change in their community, and we're here to guide, inspire, and recognize the work they do the best we can. Our High School Division completes a series of 10 virtual discussion-based workshops and 2 concerts, while our Elementary & Middle School students commit to performing 2 concerts during the year. Wherever you are, we’re here to inspire and encourage your volunteerism.
Start Your Own Chapter
All Junior Program members can start and register a VMA School Chapter. In order to grow the Junior Program across the country, we need exceptional Juniors in every state who will band together and encourage others to join the cause. Log into membership area to register or renew.
President’s Volunteer Service Award
We structure our Junior Program’s Leadership Initiative to prepare our most ambitious students on the path towards presidential recognition. Through our partnership with Americorps, VMA is deemed authority to confer the President’s letter of congratulations, honorary pin, and Award Certificate to our VMA Leaders. Mentored Concerts
Professionally mentored concerts are particularly helpful for Junior solo performers, namely pianists, or instrumentalists unaffiliated with ensembles or orchestras. Our Volunteer Coordinators serve as mentors, helping schedule, program, and perform alongside Junior member soloists, ultimately delivering successful concert programs.
