VMA CODE OF CONDUCT
The VMA Code of Conduct must be followed by all volunteer musicians to ensure a safe, respectful, and successful concert experience.
✅ Comply with Health Policies
Follow all venue health requirements, including COVID-19 protocols and vaccination rules.
✅ Respect Privacy
Protect the privacy of patients, staff, visitors, and audience members at every venue.
✅ Dress the Part
Wear business casual or relaxed concert dress attire suitable for a performance.
✅ Be Prepared
Bring a portable stand if needed, and coordinate logistics with your ensemble.
✅ Media Policy
Do not take photos or videos on site without express permission from the venue administrator.
✅ Respect Space
Keep yourself, cases, and belongings clear of entrances, exits, and traffic areas.
✅ Honor Commitments
If you must cancel, do so as far in advance as possible. Repeated cancellations disrupt the group.
✅ Stay Substance-Free
Do not attend VMA performances if you have recently consumed drugs or alcohol.
✅ Be Punctual
Arrive on time for rehearsals and concerts.
✅ Communicate Clearly
Respond promptly when scheduling concerts or coordinating with your fellow volunteers.
✅ Keep It Clean
Use respectful language at all venues—no vulgar or inappropriate speech.
✅ Ask for Help
If unsure about procedures, ask a seasoned VMA volunteer for guidance.
✅ Google Workspace
VMA accounts and tools are for VMA activities only.
✅ One Team
VMA does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, sex, religion, or political belief.
