Becca continues to give everyone orchestra seats.

NEC EE faculty recital featuring VMA board member Becca Kasdan, violin, Victor Cayres, piano, and Eugene Kim, cello, took place at Williams Hall at the New England Conservatory on February 19 at 8 PM. The program included classical, jazz, and tango-inspired works by Amy Beach, Elgar, Turina, Ilan Rechtman, and Adrienne Albert. The concert was free and open to the public, with no tickets required.

Becca’s performance was a wonderful reminder of the power of chamber music — collaboration, listening, and shared expression — values that align closely with VMA’s mission of service through the arts. It is especially meaningful for our students to see a board member actively engaged in high-level music-making while also championing outreach and compassionate leadership.

We are grateful to have Becca as part of the VMA community and celebrate her continued artistry, mentorship, and commitment to inspiring the next generation of musicians.

Fun Fact: Jonathan and Becca both graduated NEC Prep (albeit 10 years apart!)
