VMA Board Member Becca Kasdan Featured in Expanded Education Faculty Recital at NEC

Becca Kasdan, violin

The VMA Foundation is proud to recognize and celebrate Board Member Rebecca (Becca) Kasdan, who will be featured in the Expanded Education Faculty Recital at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Taking place on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 8:00 PM in Williams Hall, this faculty recital highlights the artistry and collaborative spirit of NEC’s educators. Becca Kasdan will be joined by pianist Victor Cayres and cellist Eugene Kim in an engaging evening of chamber music that spans classical and contemporary repertoire.

As both a distinguished violinist and dedicated educator, Becca Kasdan exemplifies the values at the heart of VMA’s work: artistic excellence, mentorship, and service through music. Her involvement with VMA reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that young musicians experience music not only as a discipline, but as a meaningful way to connect with their communities.

The program includes works by Amy Beach, Edward Elgar, Joaquín Turina, Ilan Rechtman, and Adrienne Albert, offering audiences a rich and varied musical experience. Through this repertoire, the performers explore lyricism, collaboration, and stylistic diversity — hallmarks of chamber music at its best.

At VMA, we are deeply grateful for board members who actively contribute to the musical and educational landscape. Becca’s ongoing performance career, teaching, and leadership continue to inform and strengthen VMA’s mission to cultivate compassionate, service-minded musicians.

We warmly encourage our community to attend and support this performance, and to join us in celebrating the work of a VMA leader whose artistry continues to inspire students and audiences alike.
