A New Community Partnership: Welcoming The Commons in Lexington

We are excited to welcome The Commons, an assisted living residence in Lexington, MA, as a new community partner for the Volunteer Musicians for the Arts Junior Program. This new venue creates additional opportunities for student musicians to share live performances in a setting where music can have a profound and personal impact. Residents at The Commons will experience thoughtfully prepared performances, while students gain valuable experience connecting with audiences beyond the traditional recital environment.

As VMA continues to grow across Massachusetts, partnerships like The Commons are essential to our mission of making music a vehicle for service. This collaboration allows students to engage directly with the community, fostering empathy, confidence, and leadership through performance. We look forward to building a lasting relationship with The Commons and creating meaningful musical experiences for both residents and young musicians alike.
