Welcoming Elizabeth Payne to the VMA Community

The VMA Foundation is excited to welcome Elizabeth “Liz” Payne to our Board of Directors this fall.
Liz joins the VMA community with a strong professional background in finance, bringing experience as a CPA and financial consultant to the organization. Throughout her career, she has worked in the world of finance and consulting, offering valuable insight and expertise that will help support the VMA as we continue to grow and strengthen our foundation for the future.
There is also a special personal connection behind this introduction. Liz and Jonathan Yasuda have known each other for many years, having grown up attending the same church and schools, including College of the Holy Cross. Today, they are once again living just a town apart, with Liz based nearby in Natick.
As Liz begins her involvement with the VMA Board, she and Jonathan have already started meeting to discuss both the organization’s immediate priorities and its longer-term vision. These conversations are part of an ongoing effort to thoughtfully assess where the VMA is today, where we hope to go, and how we can continue building a sustainable organization that expands opportunities for young musicians to serve, lead, and share music with their communities.
What makes this especially meaningful is Liz’s willingness to volunteer her time and expertise to support that work. Her perspective and professional experience will be a valuable addition as the VMA Foundation continues to develop its programs, strengthen its infrastructure, and look ahead to the next chapter of growth.
We are grateful that Liz has chosen to join the VMA family, and we look forward to introducing her more fully to our community in the months ahead.
