Officially Activating Your Club and Officer Role

Starting a VMA club is more than creating a student organization — it is a commitment to the VMA pillars of serve, fundraise, and lead through music. Club Presidents help bring outreach concerts, fundraising efforts, and meaningful service opportunities into their schools and local communities while inspiring fellow students to lead with compassion, professionalism, and integrity.

Because leadership carries responsibility, all student officers agree to uphold the values of the VMA through respect, collaboration, and consistent communication. Monthly President Reports help student leadership stay connected, support active clubs, and celebrate the impact students are making nationwide.

While raising $50 is the minimum fundraising requirement needed to nominate yourself as Club President and activate a club, Junior Program officers strongly recommend setting a team annual goal of $1,000 through the Sweet Sounds of Service Fundraiser. These efforts help sustain outreach concerts, community partnerships, and student-led service opportunities throughout the year.

If you are ready to use music to make a difference in your community, we invite you to complete the Get Started Form below and begin building a VMA club at your school. Your leadership could inspire the next generation of students to serve, fundraise, and lead through the arts.
